Gaming communities band together for charity ? XboxGameZone.co ...

[via Kona's Korner]

Many of the gaming industry?s biggest communities have agreed to join forces to help one of their own. Katy Boyd, better as bunnyXablaze, returned from PAX East in Boston this past weekend only to suffer the loss of her home as a result of a house fire.

A Frag Doll Cadette and GCON (Gears Community Online Network) staff member, Katy is a familiar face and well loved member of various online communities. Many sponsors quickly came together to help organise a charity drive for her, including the Frag Dolls, Beyond Gaming, EPIC Games, Astro Gaming, Twitch TV and many more. Current list of sponsors can be found via the image below.

Donations can be made via the source link above, as well as on the GCON page here. There will also be a livestream event this Saturday, April 14, 2012, from 12 noon CST to midnight, which will include prizes, giveaways and guest appearances from some well known faces including the likes of former Pro Circuit player, Mike ?hast0? Rufail.
