Wine mixing and serving seminar held in Macau | Official Gazette of ...

The Philippine Consulate General, the Overseas Workers? Welfare Administration (OWWA), and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Macau hosted a Seminar-Workshop on Fundamentals of Wine and Beverage Mixing for Dining and Social Gatherings last September 26.

Selected community leaders, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and Consulate staff attended the continuing education program.

The training provided participants basic knowledge on the different types of wine and beverages and their proper use in the context of diplomacy, dining, and other social gatherings.

Mr. Vicvir Baldivino Tiu, a flair certified-bartender and with TESDA certification, served as the resource speaker assisted by another experienced Filipino bartender.

Topics covered varieties of wine, their origin, description and appropriate use, different spirits and tableware & glassware & related bar tools; physical arrangements, and ingredients, condiments, mixing and other preparation on serving the cocktails.
